Octopus

I decided that it was time to take a step outside of my traditional comfort zone with landscapes and portraits. Having had a bit of success with animal renderings in the past, a friend of mine unintentionally provided the inspiration for this piece.

Along with stepping into new territory, someone asked my why I hadn’t made any time-lapse recordings of my work. Usually the answer is that I’m on my phone too often while working, and that’s my only avenue to document in that fashion. That, and having an unconventional work space limits the amount I can document. I decided to bite the bullet and work on this one in the same location so I could actually do a time-lapse from start to finish. While it’s neat, I’m not 100% sold on doing this for every piece I create. It just seems too restrictive.

At any rate: check out this link to view: Octopus
