During my first year of climbing I slowly being exposed to more and more experiences and the people that came along with them. I started to pay closer attention to how the more advanced climbers moved on the wall. The way they manipulated their positioning to conserve energy and accomplish goals was a hypnotic dance that I couldn’t quite grasp at the time. I noticed how smooth the movements were, how in control they seemed, and just how far out of that league I was. I had (still have) a lot to learn. The first time it REALLY dawned on me that there was more to climbing than the Red was when a friend posted pictures from a trip to Red Rocks. With any luck, I’ll be making my own trip out west in the fall of 2017.
